Paul Tubb's Festival Voyages
Paul Tubb's festival voyages - Part 1

I’ve packed all manner of Poetic things and musical things, and some uninteresting things like changes of clothes, into various carrying aids, or bags to the rest of you, and I’ll be getting a train out of Heuston station tonight to take me down to my favourite County in Ireland, Cork, so that I can spend the next couple of days, hopefully entertaining and teaching children with my crazy poems and songs.
This is my third year performing for the Children’s Books Festival and I have to admit I do love this festival and it is with eager anticipation that I will travel down tonight.  I’m a little bit anxious, but my main anxieties concerns Iarnrod Eireann and how late I get to Cork tonight.  Once I have had a good night’s sleep, breakfast and lots of Coffee I’ll be set.

I’m doing 3 readings in Cobh Library tomorrow followed by three in Kanturk on Friday.  I will be debuting a whole section on Football related verse/songs, which I am hoping will be well received.

I will be documenting my trip in this Blog and hopefully I will do it after each day, if I can find an Internet Cafe, if not you can read about my readings sometime next week.

Hope the festival is going well for everyone concerned.

Paul H. Tubb.
