Dingle Writing Courses presents a weekend-long course with author Malachy Doyle.
Young people need writing that both intrigues and satisfies. A course for both beginners and more advanced writers who want to develop their ideas, their technique, and their voice.
Malachy Doyle writes both picture books and teenage novels. Tales from Old Ireland, illustrated by Niamh Sharkey, won a Parents' Choice Gold Award in 2001 and was short-listed for the Bisto Children's Book of the Year 2001. His novels include The Dancing Tiger, and Who is Jesse Flood, which was short-listed for the Bisto Children's Book of the Year 2003. His latest picture book is Charlie in My Darling (Orchard) and his novel Swap(O'Brien) is due out in August. Malachy lives in County Donegal.
The Illustration Cupboard in London will host an exhbition of Niamh Sharkey's work featuring all her original pieces from Cinderella, including roughs, notebooks etc..
